I had an amazing time celebrating our love story with my hubby in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for our 5th wedding anniversary. It was great returning to the country where we visited for our honeymoon.
Time goes by so quickly. It’s hard to believe that the two of us reached this milestone in our marriage. It sounds cliche but it literally feels like yesterday that I was attending a surprise engagement party (a flashback post of that magical night coming soon as I reminisce). Now, we celebrate our union, two beautiful girls that we are blessed to have and the various goals we’ve accomplished together as a unit and individually within this time period.
It was a special treat having the resort be a part of our occasion by decorating our door and leaving surprises in our room. When we returned to our room on the last evening, we found warm bath water in the jacuzzi tub with flower petals, a hand-written note, chocolate covered strawberries, dessert, champagne and the red bed light on. 
It’s funny just how much you enjoy the uninterrupted quality time with your spouse after having children. We spent most of the weekend just relaxing and enjoying the beauty around us.
