When planning to visit a different state, I always develop an itinerary that includes fun activities for the kiddos. Of course, after seeing The Coop featured on Shark Tank, I had to add it to the list of family adventures while in California.
The smiles on those faces capture how much my family thoroughly enjoyed our visit! We stayed there until the last possible minute before closing. They had so many things to engage both children for the afternoon. What I liked most about this children’s attraction are the following 10 things:
- The cleanliness- first and foremost, the venue was very clean and tidy. Food was not permitted in the play area and everyone was asked to remove shoes prior to entering the activity room. The front check-in area was decorated with fresh flowers and pretty centerpieces. Tables and benches are also available to eat snacks, socialize with your family or other parents, and charge devices. This entrance is so cozy and comfortable that a couple of the kids even took a quick nap to recharge.
- Convenience items- if you forget to pack an item (which I forgot socks since I had on sandals), you are able to purchase them and other things, including drinks and snacks, at the front counter.
- Bright colors- the bright shades of yellow and orange creates an atmosphere that promotes happiness and excitement and give the children plenty of energy for their fun day.
- Ball pit- Alana’s absolute favorite was jumping, sliding and diving in the bright colored balls. She really had a blast when she buried herself to play hide-and-seek.
- Ladder and slide- this feature promoted independence and provided a high level of challenge as Alana navigated up the ladder, through the tunnel, down the slide and into the balls. She really felt like a big girl!
- Bounce house- who doesn’t like to jump? This bounce house gave me the opportunity to exercise while playing a game of bounce house basketball with Alana. I even let her score a few shots.
- Library and tent corner- while Alana explored the ball pit and other games in the play area, Ariah and I enjoyed a quite moment reading books in the library corner. Different age levels were represented among the book selection.
- Indoor games and puzzles- from the entrance to the play room, puzzles and games are available to either play individually or alongside others. Our favorite was the coloring table that was covered with bulletin board paper with crayons, coloring pencils and stencils provided for use and creativity.
- Theatre screen- this showed a cartoon that included age appropriate songs and content while we played in the activity room. Chairs were available throughout the facility to view the video playing on the screen. This was very entertaining while I caught my breath after jumping in the bounce house.
- Interactive video game- honestly, I think my hubby and I had more fun with this! Trying to move my feet quick enough to pop the flying balloons proved to be much more difficult than it initially appeared.
We had a great time visiting The Coop of Woodland Hills. Other locations are available throughout the area. Be sure to look them up and include it in your fun afternoon with the kiddos. The venues are also available for hosting birthday celebrations and other events.
Enjoy! Xoxo
Disclosure- our admission was complimentary for our play day but the review is a truthful recap of our fun experience.
