ONEderful Celebration

It’s official…we have a 1 year old and had a ONEderful celebration for our little love bug. This made for a very fun and festive time with my husband’s birthday and Thanksgiving taking place all in the same week. To commemorate the milestone of Ariah turning one (while also celebrating one year of being parents of two and a family of four), we did three activities.

  1. 1 year photo shoot- the above photo is just one of the beautiful shots taken by the premier baby photographer, Crystal, of Crystal Clear Photography. Her work is absolutely AMAZING! We’ve been fortunate to have her capture the stages from newborn to one year old for both of our little ladies as well as a few family pictures and somehow manage to love her work even more every single time. I mean… just look how beautiful her work is.
  2. Play Party- choosing the perfect birthday party venue that speaks to Ariah’s personality while also serving as an enjoyable activity for Alana (age 3) and her friends prompted me to book a private play party at My Gym. This children’s facility provided a two hour age-appropriate session that included music, dance, singing, toys, games, rides, gymnastics, sports and more. They even decorated with the selected theme (I chose Doc McStuffins) and provided the food and drinks for the kiddos. The best part, everyone had a blast and clean-up was included. This facility made it super easy to have a fun afternoon
  3. Christian Dedication and Birthday Brunch- we are thankful to God for the blessing of having our little angel. We thought it was fitting to include her Dedication back to Christ during a period of Thanksgiving. During the holiday weekend, we invited her village of family members and loved ones to stand with us as we pledge to raise her with our love for the Lord. Following service, we took a family picture and fellowshipped together during breakfast. Ariah smashed her first cake while the family serenaded her with the birthday song. Worship service and brunch conveniently took place on the campus of Brookland Baptist Church and the Banquet and Conference Center.

Celebrating Ariah’s 1st year of life was definitely a ONEderful occasion. It was an amazing first year as a family of four, establishing new family traditions, and making a lot of memories. I’m definitely looking forward to closing out the year with the Christmas holiday season.

Until next time,

Xoxo!
