Rested…Relaxed…Refreshed…Rejuvenated…and Ready to Return!! I enjoyed a great couple of days in New York City on my very first solo trip. Though it was a work trip, I took time to eat uninterrupted delicious meals, read, enjoy down time, fellowship with others and sleep for long hours in a bed all to myself!
The weather and tight schedule didn’t permit me to fully take in the sights like I usually do when visiting other states. Guess what…I was totally fine with that! I was invited to a few parties, receptions and events. I attended one of them but otherwise was totally happy spending the quiet time alone in my room. I mean, as a wife, mom of two, Entrepreneur, children’s author, community advocate and student, it’s rare that I have complete down time. I took full advantage of the few hours both nights to just be!
The first night I grabbed a delicious to-go meal and returned to my room, wrapped my hair, took a shower and rested in the bed for the evening. The second night, I attended a reception and fellowshipped with colleagues then retired to the room once again. Of course, I took time each day to FaceTime with my family and catch up on what they did while mommy was away.
I can’t wait to get back home to them and get plenty of hugs and kisses! It will be even sweeter than usual now that I took some time to enjoy some mommy time. Until the next adventure!
