Back at it. Doing what I love!

I released my first book eleven years ago as a graduate student at Hampton University. I released two subsequent titles shortly thereafter.

I took the past few years away from traveling with my books to be a wife, mommy, and work on other goals, projects, interests and to serve my community. A few weeks ago, I launched my fourth book and I am enjoying every minute. It feels so good to be back with the early childhood students and inspiring them to read and learn through my children’s character Tori.

As a former kindergarten and first grade teacher, I especially enjoy infusing mini-lessons and activities into the experience as I did when I was a classroom teacher. Watching their eyes sparkle and their faces beam with delight is truly a pleasure.

Thankful to God for the gift of working with children. I’m always in my happy place when I’m with the kiddos. Please be sure to check out Ashlye V. and Tori for updates and pics.
