Early Learning Vocabulary Practice with My 2 Year Old

Early learning practice can take place at home with your children to help provide them with a strong education foundation. This preparation will carry over to their formal classroom settings as well. As a former kindergarten and first-grade teacher, one of my favorite stores to purchase supplies and materials from was the Lakshore learning store. I absolutely love the products they develop for enrichment and early childhood education.

During this activity, I use the Lakeshore Infant/Toddler Photo Library cards. These are great for building vocabulary, developing word to object recognition, practicing language, strengthening sentence structure, and as you can see from the video, it also helps with taking turns.

Topics of the cards includes: home items, food, clothes, kitchen supplies, school items, animals, outdoor items, furniture, colors and shapes, and children’s toys.

Until next time,
