7 Months Left in this Decade- 7 Tips to Get Ready

Just 7 months left in this decade! W-O-W! When I think about it that way, it definitely hits differently. There is meaning in numbers. Seven is said to mean wisdom, completion, and perfection. As we kick off the new month of June, transition into the new season of summer, and get closer to ending the year as well as the decade, this is a ‘perfect’ time to reflect on life and goals. Here are a few things to help you prepare for the 2020’s.

  1. Visit your happy place- for me, that’s anywhere with water and beautiful views. Taking a moment to retreat to the areas where you are most comfortable will allow you to rest, relax, release, and recharge.

2. Evaluate the year- pull out the goals from the beginning of the year to identify which ones are complete and the ones that are still in progress. Determine if you are on track or if adjustments and modifications are needed to attain them. Revise and tweak as needed to accomplish them by the end of the year.

3. Get started and keep pushing- don’t think about everything that has to be done because it can cause you to be overwhelmed. Divide your tasks into manageable chunks and just get started. I will be honest though. Even when your goals are divided into manageable chunks, it can still be a struggle to get some aspects completed. Times like these, you just have to keep pushing towards your goal. Little progress is better than no progress

4. Remember your why- when things get challenging as they sometimes will, go back and remember why you started in the first place. This is the best way to give you the boost of energy you need to persevere.

5. Quality time with family and friends- spend time with the people who love and know you the most. They will replenish your cup and give you the fuel you need to stay strong in your efforts.

6. Count your blessings- even if we aren’t where we want to be, we all have so many reasons to be thankful. Make a list and read it twice to keep your heart happy and content. This will help in trusting the process of accomplishing your dreams and achieving your goals.

7. Take care of you- Health is wealth. It’s better to maintain good health instead of managing illnesses. Create healthy habits by eating nutritious meals, exercising, getting rest, and taking care of your emotional and mental well being.

These pictures represent a serene and peaceful place from my memorable trip with my hubby for Mother’s Day. Pull out your photos, souvenirs, or items that remind you of happy times and use it as motivation as your work to completing this decade with purpose.

Until next time,
