Celebrating our Anniversary with the Kiddos

“We’re five, and I’m three!” ~Alana

That was Alana’s response when I told her that it was time to celebrate our family turning 5 years old! It’s important to foster family legacy and traditions. When celebrating our union, my hubby and I include the kiddos. While planning our celebratory activities for this special milestone, we discussed with the girls that our wedding date also established our family and that we are all turning five together.

We gave Alana the opportunity to be a part of the planning process and select the location where she wanted us to go spend the day together as a family. She chose the Riverbanks Zoo and her favorite eat-and-play place, Chick-Fil-A! Can’t go wrong with that combo. We had a blast while establishing a great new tradition and strengthening our family legacy.

Planning a family activity to celebrate your wedding anniversary/family establishment can be very easy to do. Include your children’s input and identify something you all enjoy doing together. For my family; animals, learning, fun and beautiful weather all meshed well at our trip to our local zoo. Happy celebrating! Xoxo
