I had a faBOOlous morning on the set of Sister Circle Live daytime talk show with an all-star cast of phenomenal women: Rashan Ali, Syleena Johnson, Quad Webb-Luncefield and Kiana Dancie.
They gave life to their fans this Halloween morning dressed in costumes that embodies the essence of who they are…Super Women!
With pumpkin carving tips, live coverage of a Halloween festival, as well as new music and updates from Tammy Rivera dressed as the most beautiful skeleton I’ve ever seen, today’s episode was full of festive fun.
The cast and the crew are full of positivity, have great synergy, awesome energy and embodies the true spirit of #BlackGirlMagic and #BlackExcellence. I’m a big fan of the show since it’s very first episode and I’ve been fortunate enough to have my quotes included in the “What the people say” segment several times on the show. The icing on the cake tlwas being asked on the stage during that period of the show this morning. Geeked would be a total understatement!!
Thanks so much to Rashan (who I affectionately call Big Sis) and the awesome women for being so warm, inviting, and making me feel like a true part of the Sister Circle!
3 takeaways from this incredible experience:
- We rise by lifting others- the cast shared stories of their personal heroes, people who inspired their careers, provided love and support, and He who sustains our faith. This was a true testament that lifting others will make the climb even more rewarding.
- Have great people in front of and behind the scenes- from home, we see the beautiful women on the show delivering a great episode every time they’re on air. Behind this successful production is an outstanding crew cheering them on, preparing their notes, escorting their guests, completing various tasks while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and excellence throughout their duties.
- Enjoy and appreciate the little things- attending the show and witnessing first hand the production of the program was a highlight of my day. I enjoyed learning about the happenings behind the scenes and meeting the awesome members of the crew. Being asked to come on set at the end of the show was unexpected but totally appreciated. I consider it a personal privilege to celebrate a show that is now a staple in my daily routine and has positively influenced me in just a short period of time. That’s indeed the power of good genuine people.
